Not been here for a while.<br />Just wanted to mention that I have put four of my old <span style="font-weight: bold;">GI Joe</span> covers up for auction on <a href="http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/orangutan04">eBay</a>. I always said that I would never sell any of the cover art that I did during my days at Marvel. Truth is that after 18 years I am not as precious as I was about it. It will be cathartic to move some of this stuff and the cash will come in handy. Have a look through the covers and make a bid if you feel inclined. If not then I would be interested to know whether they provoke any memories.<br />AAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12541921142607373981noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2276531277083678307.post-75031554178992164542009-07-16T17:27:00.004+01:002009-07-16T17:28:16.078+01:00Soft tones<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzYXc-cBtjN4wYFtqi4tFBOMX_okuifPgj47kOJ3e5QtQMGg9pCEP02rudutDqTcUniJuCpXGFoZcv55TbvH-yQ01WOjWBXG323dHZqdR_2HNDgxd3sDNRjb3Ih5U-9xlYKgAkwlsi1du0/s1600-h/faerySoft_low.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 332px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzYXc-cBtjN4wYFtqi4tFBOMX_okuifPgj47kOJ3e5QtQMGg9pCEP02rudutDqTcUniJuCpXGFoZcv55TbvH-yQ01WOjWBXG323dHZqdR_2HNDgxd3sDNRjb3Ih5U-9xlYKgAkwlsi1du0/s400/faerySoft_low.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5359095645606128018" border="0" /></a>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12541921142607373981noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2276531277083678307.post-65510205362758021362009-07-16T17:27:00.001+01:002009-07-16T17:27:17.419+01:00Metaphor<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmAdU3mciNPBpWsB-7rQ04hmMNBVe1LwelUkveUKvgLKZJZv0P0mvm5Vqcm8BBYFXD53msATZfeK3UzRlm6RBknE6RVusSY2sIsFj4BHs1vr2ebdx0sC4mafMQtehxEZkUZYPVKD7Om3k/s1600-h/FaeryFlatFuzzy_small.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 288px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmAdU3mciNPBpWsB-7rQ04hmMNBVe1LwelUkveUKvgLKZJZv0P0mvm5Vqcm8BBYFXD53msATZfeK3UzRlm6RBknE6RVusSY2sIsFj4BHs1vr2ebdx0sC4mafMQtehxEZkUZYPVKD7Om3k/s400/FaeryFlatFuzzy_small.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5359051624750667346" border="0" /></a><br />Sometimes you wonder, well I do, whether the work you do is a metaphor for something. I thought I would post it here not because I am an egomaniac but more because I talk about a couple of things that actually sound reasonably interesting ;-)<br />I was interviewed at OMEGA SEKTOR during one of our <a href="Draw%20the%20World%20Together">Draw the World Together</a> events. I was questioned about DtWT, how it started and what we do so anyone wanting the background on that, have a listen. I was also asked about how I got started in comics which is something that I often get so that may be of interest to some people as well. Its a bit long but there ya go, I do tend to go on a bit sometimes :-)<br /><br /><b>How did DtWT all start? On the Saturday evening there was a small auction of donated items and art. We are still counting but proceeds are looking like being in excess of <b>£600</b>. Not bad for a small convention.<br />Pictures to follow.<br />What was great fun for me was meeting up with old collaborator Stephen Baskerville. I havent seen Stephen for quite a few years. We worked on many comics for Marvel a number of years ago such as <span style="font-weight: bold;">Transformers</span> and <span style="font-weight: bold;">GI Joe</span>. During the sketching event I did pencil sketches and Stephen 'inked' them up with black marker pens. would be cool to get some of these images emailed back. If any turn up I will post them here.<br />Also met up with Simon Furman for a curry in the evening. Haven't seen him for a while either so lots to chat about.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12541921142607373981noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2276531277083678307.post-11545824257429047482009-05-08T08:50:00.003+01:002009-05-08T08:52:32.163+01:00today's cards<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHOWg5CBF3acKWJ2KKeddsWiTHQP-n-bF6M0n5ZmYz1sErjPlHdRmtXrvA63yVRF7oJaiFLFjdzvligmDKBlBEsqXIadytEnXSumsTGVEj8An8-AguEnqtBcNspPvkTv-M1iu3svotCkOf/s1600-h/marv1.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 325px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHOWg5CBF3acKWJ2KKeddsWiTHQP-n-bF6M0n5ZmYz1sErjPlHdRmtXrvA63yVRF7oJaiFLFjdzvligmDKBlBEsqXIadytEnXSumsTGVEj8An8-AguEnqtBcNspPvkTv-M1iu3svotCkOf/s400/marv1.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5333357700340285570" border="0" /></a><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Captain America</span> and <span style="font-weight: bold;">Venom</span>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12541921142607373981noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2276531277083678307.post-20850165315570066272009-05-07T08:13:00.004+01:002009-05-07T08:20:47.007+01:00Todays sketchcards<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220409595807&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:US:1123"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 177px; height: 251px;" src="http://i.ebayimg.com/18/%21BR4HNTQ%21mk%7E$%28KGrHgoH-C0EjlLlt+dzBK%21RS%21RH6g%7E%7E_1.JPG" alt="" border="0" /></a>..<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220409596393&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:US:1123#ebayphotohosting"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 180px; height: 252px;" src="http://i.ebayimg.com/21/%21BR4Hfl%21B2k%7E$%28KGrHgoH-CgEjlLl1Ej9BK%21RVBbOhg%7E%7E_1.JPG" alt="" border="0" /></a><br />The Auction of cards for the March of Dimes charity continues. I did do a few sketchcards a while back just for the fun of it and it would seem like a good idea to keep doing them. No idea what people would like to see so I guess it will just be whatever occurs to me at the time. I guess its an opportunity to try out some random things that I have never had the opportunity to draw for publishers. I haven't worked for <b>DC </b>so a few DC characters might be interesting although I might try and work through every <b>Marvel </b>character I ever drew. Anyone know what they are? If anyone has any suggestion of what they think might be cool let me know. :-)Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12541921142607373981noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2276531277083678307.post-41902160169602047182009-05-02T23:29:00.003+01:002009-05-02T23:31:42.719+01:00Transformers Sketchcard auction<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://i.ebayimg.com/16/%21BRmdn,%21BWk%7E$%28KGrHgoH-C0EjlLlu15ZBJ-3HITJ8g%7E%7E_1.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 289px; height: 400px;" src="http://i.ebayimg.com/16/%21BRmdn,%21BWk%7E$%28KGrHgoH-C0EjlLlu15ZBJ-3HITJ8g%7E%7E_1.JPG" alt="" border="0" /></a><br />The first of three <span style="font-weight: bold;">TRANSFORMERS</span> sketchcards are being auctioned for the March of Dimes charity NOW.<br />Check out the listing <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220407047924&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:US:1123">HERE</a>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12541921142607373981noreply@blogger.com0
