Other news is that I have started sketching out the six TRANSFORMERS covers that I am doing for IDW. Scans soon :-)

Update
GI Joe art auction going very well. Larry Hama very kindly put up something on his Facebook page about it. Auction ends on Sunday so will be interesting to see how they go. Not just in terms of price but also how many people have been watching them.
Grimlock Colours
Went for the watercolour look again with this one. Seems to be the way I am working at the moment. Its usually done over the top of pencils but this one is the first colouring that I have done like that over inks. Seems to work o though :-)

The weekend saw the forst Draw the World Together sketching event without the sponsorship of games company NCsoft.
Artists, David Lloyd, Kat Nicholson, Jason Cardy, Neil Edwards, Andrew Wildman (me), Stephen Baskerville, Lee Bradley, Laura Howell, Andi Tong and Simon Wyatt sketched for the fans on Saturday and took donations. On the Saturday evening there was a small auction of donated items and art. We are still counting but proceeds are looking like being in excess of £600. Not bad for a small convention.

What was great fun for me was meeting up with old collaborator Stephen Baskerville. I havent seen Stephen for quite a few years. We worked on many comics for Marvel a number of years ago such as Transformers and GI Joe. During the sketching event I did pencil sketches and Stephen 'inked' them up with black marker pens. would be cool to get some of these images emailed back. If any turn up I will post them here.
Also met up with Simon Furman for a curry in the evening. Haven't seen him for a while either so lots to chat about.

The first of three TRANSFORMERS sketchcards are being auctioned for the March of Dimes charity NOW.

March of Dimes
Last year I was asked to do a sketch for 'March of Dimes'. It is a charity sketching event to raise money for the March of Dimes campaign that raises money to give babies a healthy start in life. All info can be found on their site. The sketching event was put together by Stephen Frank who has a personal interest in the project. Inevitably I was asked to do a picture of Optimus Prime.
